I had another post in the works for you, but between my paying job, my other paying job, and writing nine introductory posts over at RandomC this past week, I couldn’t get the words to come out on time. If there’s a lesson here, it’s that being busy is creatively taxing, or that you shouldn’t try to force creativity, or maybe that I’m a giant masochist, I’m not sure.

Whatever the case, I’ll be heading out shortly to attend the Great American Beer Fest in Denver CO, because I’m nerdy in more ways than you probably expected, and because there’s nothing like trying 300+ beers in the span of three days*. I’ll be there with two of my best friends, one of them who is also my editor – so I guess he won’t be working on my draft this weekend. Whoops! – and the other the guy who keeps motivating (see: yelling at) me to finish my book. I’m sure he’ll keep that up though, as requested.

Bottom line, don’t expect anything from me for a few days. I will either be pleasantly drunk, working towards it, or being a beer nerd high up in the mountains. Hopefully I’ll come back creatively recharged, and perhaps with a few stories to tell.

* That’s not an exaggeration. Last year I think we tried 375 beers. Wish me luck!
